【摘要】:Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsbecausecurrentestimatesofbetween-laboratoryprecisionareacceptable.5.1.1Incasesofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimenswhichareashomogeneousaspossibleandwhicharefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudentrsquo;t-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingbegins.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsintheviewoftheknownbias.Glasstextilesareprovidedwithvarioussizingsorcoatings.Theseprovideaprotectionfortheindividualfibers,yarns,orfabricthatmaycomposetheglasstextileaswellascompatibilitywithfurtherfinishingrequirements.Theamountofsizingorcoatingonglasstextilesasdeterminedbythisprocedureisusedforprocesscontrol.1.1Thistestmethodcoversprimarilythedeterminationofignitionlossofglasstextiles.Thismethodappliestoglassfiberstrands,twistedoruntwisted,coatedoruncoated;andfabrics,woven,nonwoven,knitted,coated,anduncoated,andchoppedstrand.Thisproceduremaybeappliedtootherglasstextileswheretheamountoforganiccontentobtainedbyignitionlossisrequired.Note18212;Thistestmethodmaybeusedwithotherglassfiberclassifications,suchasCorD,butadifferentignitiontemperatureandexposuretimemayberequired.Inthesecasesthemanufacturershouldbeconsultedfortheappropriateignitionconditions.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
